Youth Inspired! Program - Terms & Conditions

The Youth Inspired! program is designed to provide youth with the tools to develop their career skills and inspire them to make a larger impact on their communities through teamwork, communications, assessing their potential, strategic thinking, and career mapping.

 

Participants will benefit from the following:

​

• Complete a work experience at a Canadian fair or exhibition in 2022

• Attend the Youth Inspired! Meet-up (location TBD, all travel costs covered)

• Participate in custom virtual Youth Inspired! programming

• Take part in a 6-month group coaching program led by Smile Inside and Out Consulting

• Host a Youth Inspired! meeting in your community to foster growth and develop other potential Future Leaders and their skills

• Join the National Future Leaders Team (NFLT), a youth-led project that supports CAFE

• Interact with youth from across the country

• Gain tools and resources to strengthen leadership abilities within their communities

 

Upon completion of the Youth Inspired! program, participants will be awarded the title of Certified CAFE Agent (CCA).

 

Applicant’s Responsibility
Must be over the age of 18 and under the age of 30 as of January 1, 2022, in order to take part in the Youth Inspired! program. A recent copy of their resume must be submitted with the application.

Participant’s Organization Responsibility
If accepted to the program, it is expected that your organization will be able to provide a certificate of liability insurance and written authorization.

CAFE Responsibility

• To circulate information and registration forms for the program to CAFE Members

• To identify potential participants 

• To accept and vet applications, and personal presentation proposals

• To communicate regularly with participants during their placement

• To conduct an evaluation of the program

• To facilitate networking opportunities with Fair Industry members

• To work with each participant to arrange travel to work experience destination as well as the Youth Inspired! Meet-up

 

Timing

Due to Covid-19, some elements of the program will be completed in 2023. Work experiences may take place at any time of year that is mutually agreeable to both the participant’s organization and the host organization.

Cost

The Youth Inspired! Program costs $499 per participant.

Limited funding is available to help in covering up to $499 of the cost of the Youth Inspired! Program.
